As of 15 February 2022, in order to maintain the validity of the "vaccination pass", the booster shot must be given 3 months after the end of the initial vaccination schedule and within a maximum of 4 months. In other words, the person will have 1 month to complete the booster.
This measure applies to people over 18 years and 1 month old. Indeed, 16 and 17 year olds are not obliged to have their booster shot in order to keep their "vaccination pass", even if it is strongly recommended.
When do I get my booster shot?
If I have received 2 doses of vaccine, I must have my booster shot no later than 4 months after my second injection.
If I had the Covid-19 and then received a single dose of vaccine (Astra Zeneca, Pfizer, Moderna), I must have my booster shot no later than 4 months after my injection.
If I had the Covid-19 and then received a single dose of vaccine (Astra Zeneca, Pfizer, Moderna), I must have my booster shot no later than 4 months after my injection.
If I received a dose of vaccine (AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna or Janssen) and I had the Covid-19 more than 15 days after the injection, I must have my booster shot no later than 4 months after my infection, which is the duration of the certificate of recovery.
If I had the Covid-19 and then received a dose of Janssen after my infection, I must have my booster shot no later than 2 months after my injection.
If I am not yet eligible for the booster dose, my certificate of vaccination for the initial vaccination schedule (single or two doses) remains valid.
What happens if I can't have my booster dose because I have caught Covid-19?
If you contracted Covid-19 after your initial vaccination schedule, you do not need a booster dose. Your recovery certificate will provide you with a valid vaccination pass.
However, for people wishing to leave the national territory, the booster vaccination must be done to have a valid vaccination certificate.
The case of 12-15 year olds
12-15 year olds are not subject to the "vaccination pass".
As part of the "health pass", they are not obliged to carry out their booster, even though the booster is available to them as early as 6 months after the completion of their initial vaccination schedule.
